Theme of 2012 - Responsibility.
Ladies and
Gentlemen:
As we start
the New Year 2012, I wish to extend my sincere gratitude to all of you for
being part of the Bamileke family here in Northern California. Your ongoing
participation in the association has made it possible for us to endure this
far. I wish to also extend a special
word of gratitude to all those individuals who have put in the extra mile to
ensure that BANC’s affaire runs smoothly.
At this
juncture I urge all of us to reflect on our individual sense of responsibility
in life, in general, and to BANC in particular.
No matter
how well we are doing, there is always room for improvement. I challenge all to strive to be more
responsible in 2012:
- to be more responsible spouses
- to be more responsible parents
- to instill more responsibility in
our children
- to be more responsible persons to
our friends and family members
- to be more responsible workers at
our job sites
- to be more responsible Christians in
our religious denomination
- to be more responsible individuals
to the Cameroonian community here in the Bay Area
- to be more responsible and law
abiding individuals here in the United States of America
- to be more responsible members of
BANC.
We have
started this responsibility drive in BANC by filling up our 2012 hosting roster
including the names of those who are to chair meetings. That is a good start. We have elections coming up shortly and there
are vacant posts in the executive. I
count on your sense of responsibility to reshuffle the executive and fill up
these vacancies. Our 20 months njangi
session finished in November 2010 and all njangi payments were received in
full. This is a praise-worthy sense of
financial responsibility shown by njangi members – thank you.
I count on
all to show this same spirit of financial responsibility during the next
session starting in January 2012. I
count on you to manifest this same sense of responsibility to BANC in 2012.
I wish you, your
families and love ones a very happy and prosperous 2012.
George
Ngwanyia
President.
